SoundBug is a robot that detects and avoids obstacles by using its two feelers. When an obstacle is detected, three of its legs will steer it forward while the other three legs steers it backwards, resulting in a change of direction to either left or right depending on which feeler was touched. SoundBug is also equipped with a sound sensor with adjustable sensibility that will turn SoundBug's movement either on or off with the sound of a clap or a loud noise. Using a simple but effective way to reverse the direction of the motors, SoundBug can explore its environment and autonomously avoid obstacles without any microcontroller.
