Field report
Last year the local museum of mining history had made a Halloween arrangement in the mines at a place named Nyseter that was a success according to them, so they decided to have the same arrangement this year also. The whole thing involves in walking around in the mines where people with costumes are placed to scare the kids and show them the way through to the main room where they serve soda and candy, so this year I was asked to join the scaring crew in the mines and thought that this could be a perfect first event with my Xanador Nekrid costume. I barely got the time to change into my costume before we had to drive up to the mine before the regular people came, and we saw on the way that there were about 200 people coming. It was really cool to walk around in this costume in the dark, and a few photos were taken outside the mine when we arrived, then I had to wear a helmet to walk into the mine to where I was supposed to stand at a place where one tunnel split into two tunnels. All the people and children came about half an hour later to the lowest mine entrance, then they started walking through the mine tunnels that were filled with ghosts, skulls, spiders, tape recorders with scary sounds, and the scaring crowd with their costumes. When they came to my area, many of the children started screaming and looked really scared at me, then I pointed towards the tunnel they were meant to walk through to get to the stairs that lead up to the main room. A few of the adults took photos of me with large cameras while the children were talking to me and playing around, but I scared them away with my sword and scary teeth. The people got fewer in number after some while, and a few photos were taken in the meanwhile until all the people had walked through. Now that no more people came, I was free to walk up the stairs to the main room, which was somewhat difficult in my long coat that I had just finished for this event, but I managed to get up without falling down. A few more photos were taken in the main room, but no one knew who I really was, and the kids even asked me if I was walking around on stilts since I was so tall. Other kids even asked me if those were my real teeth, but I just gnarled at them to scare them off. Since there were still a few bags of candy left, I was given one as payment for my contribution for this event, and that was good enough for me when I just came to scare kids for free anyway. After most of the people had left the mines, I took this great opportunity to get some good photos of this costume inside the mines for my website, and they all turned out pretty cool. After we left the mines, I came along on another trip afterwards to a grocery store since it would be cool and funny to walk around in a store with this costume. Not many people were there, but I flashed my scary teeth to the ones that stared at me for my own amusement.
