The creation of the poncho
Having made a cloak for my Tusken Raider costume a long time ago, I found that it didn't fit with the rest of the costume, so I discarded it. After having watched the first Star Wars movie again, I noticed that one of the characters had a poncho made of a very similar fabric to the cloak, so I decided to turn the discarded cloak into a desert ponco instead.

Now that the poncho is finished, I am very pleased with what it looks like, considering it was made out of a discarded cloak. If I hadn't bought the fabric that I later discarded, I would never have made this poncho or the entire costume itself, so I owe it all to trial and error. Feel free to use any ideas from this tutorial, and good luck sewing your own poncho.

Here you can see the cloak as it was made for my Tusken Raider costume.
After having cut the cloak into several pieces, I made the two center pieces and then cut the angle at the bottom of them.
Having two irregularly shaped pieces left, I had to contemplate for a while how to cut them before finally figuring out a way to do so.
Once the two pieces were cut to the right shape and sewn onto the main pieces of the poncho, the edge of the poncho was hemmed all the way around with a silver colored thread in a pattern stitching.
Here you can see the finished poncho, a chair, a cabinet, a TV, the floor, walls, and many other irrelevant things.
