The creation of the flak vest
At some point in time I acquired a black leather jacket that I don't remember where came from or when I got it in the first place, but it was soon converted into the flak vest of my Grave Tusken costume since the black leather looked very Tusken like when it was only surface colored instead of fully dyed, so it looked perfectly old and worn.
After the shape of the flak vest was cut out of the leather jacket, it was padded with foam mats and fleece fabric to give it that right ribbed surface.

Now that my Grave Tusken flak vest is finished, it looks very much like the one on the game model from the video game Jedi Knight, and it looks perfectly weathered because of the surface colored black leather. Feel free to use any ideas from this tutorial, and good luck making your own Grave Tusken flak vest.
Project details
Project duration - 3 days.
Costs spent - $4 USD.
Accidents - Not to me anyway.
Thanks to
The man who didn't want to keep his leather jacket anymore.
The store that sold me
Biltema for making the spray glue.
Whoever made the foam mats.
Two more leather pieces were sewn onto the top of the flak vest with Velcro on them to close around my neck.
Tan fabric was used to make the waist sash that holds the flak vest onto my body.
To give the sash the right texture and look, the fabric was puckered up and secured this way by pins.
The sash was then sewn permanently to this texture.
Velcro was added to hold the two sash pieces together on the back of the flak vest.
Three more strips of Velcro were added to the back of the sash to hold the bottom of the main pauldron in place.
See the creation of the pauldrons for a better understanding of this all.
Two elastic bands were sewn onto both sash pieces to keep them as close to my body as possible.
And after all of that was done, this is what it all looked like.
